PASSIONATE SUBSTITUTES NEEDED!!!

Davies Development Center is seeking compassionate and reliable Substitute Teachers to join our team and provide coverage when regular teaching staff are absent. This role is critical in maintaining a nurturing, structured, and engaging classroom environment for children ages 12 months to 5 years . As a Substitute Teacher, you will assist children in daily activities, encourage communication and social development, and support the classroom routines established by the lead teachers.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Supervise and engage children in a safe, supportive, and positive environment.
• Follow established classroom schedules, lesson plans, and routines.
• Assist with feeding, diapering/toileting, and transitions as appropriate for age level.
• Encourage speech, listening, and social interaction during play and activities.
• Communicate effectively with staff and, when appropriate, with parents.
• Ensure a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.

Qualifications: 

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or early childhood coursework preferred.
• 3+ years of experience working with young children (infant through preschool age) strongly preferred.
• Ability to adapt quickly to different classrooms and teaching styles.
• Patience, compassion, and strong communication skills.
• CPR/First Aid certification a plus (or willingness to obtain).

Compensation & Schedule: 

• Hourly Rate: $15 – $18 (based on experience and qualifications).
• Flexible, as-needed schedule.
