CDL Tri-Axle Dump Truck Driver

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting materials to and from construction sites, ensuring safe and efficient operation of the dump truck while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage various types of trucks, including manual transmission vehicles. The Dump Truck Driver will play a crucial role in supporting various construction projects by delivering materials such as gravel, asphalt, and dirt.

Duties

Operate dump trucks to transport materials to construction sites safely and efficiently.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
Collaborate with construction teams to understand material needs and delivery schedules.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site managers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, materials transported, and any incidents or issues encountered during transport.
Follow all safety protocols while on the road and at job sites to minimize risk of accidents.

Requirements

Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL A or B) with a clean driving record.
Proven experience operating dump trucks in a construction environment.
Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks.
Ability to perform physical tasks associated with loading, unloading, and transporting materials.
Strong understanding of construction site protocols and safety measures.
Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members on-site.
Excellent navigation skills with a good understanding of local routes and traffic patterns.
Ability to work flexible hours as needed based on project demands.
Commitment to maintaining a clean driving record and adhering to all company policies regarding safety and vehicle operation.
