Position Summary
This role is responsible for driving new business development, managing existing client relationships, and exceeding sales targets within an assigned territory. The ideal candidate is a proactive and strategic thinker with a strong understanding of automation solutions and a passion for building long-term client partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet or exceed revenue targets
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned territory
- Conduct market research to stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with engineers, procurement leaders, and key decision-makers
- Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the full sales cycle
- Address client inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure customer satisfaction and retention
Product & Solution Expertise
- Develop a deep understanding of modular automation products and solutions
- Present and articulate product benefits, features, and technical specifications effectively
- Collaborate with internal technical teams to customize solutions based on client needs
Sales Reporting & Administration
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity, pipeline, and customer interactions in CRM
- Prepare sales forecasts and performance reports for leadership
- Track progress against goals and adjust strategies as needed
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Proven sales experience in industrial automation or a related technology sector
- Strong understanding of modular automation systems and applications
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Additional Requirements
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory

- Experience selling engineered or modular automation solutions
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tracking tools
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $100,000 $120,000 (DOE)
- On-Target Earnings (OTE): $150,000 $180,000
