WCS Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced Postpartum Registered Nurse for a contract assignment in Worcester, MA. This role is ideal for a clinically strong RN with Postpartum and Level 1 Nursery experience who can provide safe, compassionate care to mothers and newborns in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Job Function:

• Shift: 3x12 Days

  • Rotating day/night schedule
  • Every other weekend and holiday required
  • 36-hour orientation included
• Provide postpartum and newborn care in a Level 1 Nursery setting
• Monitor maternal and neonatal conditions, including post-delivery recovery
• Administer medications and manage treatments (e.g., Pitocin, magnesium sulfate, IV antibiotics)
• Perform newborn assessments, metabolic screening, and thermoregulation support
• Educate parents on breastfeeding, newborn care, and discharge instructions
• Assist with circumcisions, C-sections, and postpartum procedures
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic
• Support patient safety, infection control, and hospital protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory, pharmacy, and rapid response

Job Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience required
• Postpartum and Level 1 Nursery experience required
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Previous travel experience preferred (not required)
• Ability to maintain 1:4 patient ratio
• Must be comfortable working with neonates, infants, adolescents, and adults
