About the Position

Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent experience within the last 7 years is required. License: Must hold an active nursing license. Certifications: C-EFM, BLS, NRP, STABLE (ACLS preferred). Must-Have: C-EFM certification must be held at the time of submission. Scrub experience is preferred. Charge experience is preferred. Experience working with mother-baby care is preferred. Cerner experience is preferred. Candidates must have completed at least one travel assignment. Call required - 2 shifts per 6-week schedule. Every other weekend coverage is required. Description: The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit. Responsibilities include assessing and monitoring patients during labor and delivery. The nurse will assist with high-risk deliveries and support mothers during postpartum care. The role includes administering medications, managing complications, and educating patients and families. The nurse will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Experience with various procedures such as cesarean section, forceps delivery, and epidural anesthesia is essential. Nurses will be involved in triaging obstetrical patients and conducting non-stress tests. A focus on maternal and newborn safety is critical in this role. The Registered Nurse will also provide lactation support and education to new mothers. Candidates must be prepared for a fast-paced environment and have a commitment to high-quality patient care.
