Math Curriculum Designer, Grades 6-12

IXL Learning, developer of personalized learning products used by millions of people globally, is seeking an experienced, passionate educator to join our team as a Math Curriculum Designer. In this role, you'll lend your specialized knowledge and expertise in K–12 math education to help the curriculum design team craft exceptional learning experiences for middle and high school students. Your strong writing skills, creative problem solving, educational insights, and commitment to quality will make personalized learning a reality for millions of students. This position requires you to be in our Raleigh, NC, area office.WHAT YOU’LL BE DOINGDesign clear, engaging, interactive math questions to meet specified educational objectives for kindergarten through calculus, with a focus on 6-12Write helpful, age-appropriate, sound explanations of math conceptsCollaborate with visual designers, other curriculum designers, and company leaders to determine appropriate curricular strategiesResearch and review IXL's alignment to educational standards, common assessments, and popular textbooksDevelop and manage project plans to create and deliver high-quality math contentEnsure all project milestones are achieved within set deadlinesWHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR Bachelor's degree in a math or related field required - advanced degree preferredHigh school or collegiate math teaching experience, including precalculus, calculus, or statisticsExcellent writing abilityExperience in curriculum development preferredGrowth mindset with an openness to feedback and others’ ideasHighly self-motivated and efficient with superb attention to detailWHAT TO INCLUDE IN YOUR APPLICATIONYour resumeA cover letter under 600 words that addresses the following questions: What are some challenges in developing online math content for students in grades 6-12?
