Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students and collaborating in a vibrant educational setting. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact across two elementary schools, working within a strong, student-centered team. The assignment is full-time, with 37.5 hours per week, focusing on enhancing students' functional abilities and promoting positive school experiences.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering evidence-based occupational therapy services to a diverse caseload of 62 elementary students.
- Developing and implementing individualized intervention plans aligned with IEP goals.
- Collaborating actively with educators and families to support students’ academic and functional success.
- Supervising and mentoring an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA), who provides coverage at another elementary school 2 to 2.5 days each week.
- Documenting and reporting on student progress, ensuring compliance with all state and district requirements.
- Participating in IEP meetings and providing professional guidance as an integral part of the school team.
Qualifications:
- Current licensure and certification to practice as an Occupational Therapist.
- Previous experience delivering OT services in school settings preferred.
- Strong leadership and mentorship skills, particularly in supervising OTAs.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with staff, students, and families.
- Ability to manage and prioritize a varied caseload efficiently.
