Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at a healthcare facility located in Lewiston, Maine. This position involves providing advanced care to neonates and managing obstetric and postpartum patients on a busy LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum) unit. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Location: Lewiston, Maine
• Shift: 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM (3x12-hour shifts) with rotating schedules and self-scheduling options
• Schedule: Minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); at least 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery (L&D), Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP), and postpartum (PP) care; Education in nursing with a valid nursing license; experience managing a 3 couplet assignment; proficiency in External Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM), starting and maintaining peripheral IVs, administering antihypertensives and insulin drips, assisting with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and postpartum care.
• Preferred Qualifications: Intermediate level certification from the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN)
• Additional Information: No first-time travelers, no pre-approved Rime offer per contract, unit census ranges from 3 to 24 patients, patient ratio of 1:6, equipment includes Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM), Radiant Warmers, Thermoregulation devices, and use of electronic medical record systems like EPIC and Omnicell Med System.
