Job Summary

Generations Christian Homeschool is seeking a passionate and dedicated Part-Time Contractor to teach Mathematics to students in grades 3 through 6. The ideal candidate will be committed to integrating a Christian worldview into all aspects of the curriculum, fostering intellectual curiosity, and promoting academic excellence within a supportive faith-based environment. This contract position requires expertise in developing and delivering engaging, age-appropriate lessons that align with the school's educational standards and Christian mission.

Key Responsibilities

Instruction and Curriculum

• Develop and implement engaging, project-based lesson plans for 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th-grade Mathematics classes.
• Integrate biblical principles and a Christian worldview seamlessly into all subject matter and classroom discussions, helping students recognize the order and design of God's creation as expressed in mathematical principles.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse learning needs of students, promoting critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Assessment and Reporting

• Evaluate student performance through various assessment methods, including tests, projects, and presentations.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents and school administration regarding student achievement.

School Community

• Participate in required faculty and contractor meetings and professional development opportunities as outlined in the contract.
• Uphold the school's mission and vision statements and behavioral standards, modeling Christ-like behavior for students.
• Collaborate with other faculty and staff to support the school's overall educational mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Prior teaching experience, particularly at the elementary or middle school level (grades 3-5 is a plus).
• Demonstrated knowledge and passion for elementary mathematics content.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Commitment to the integration of faith and learning in the classroom.
• Ability to work effectively as an independent contractor, managing time and responsibilities efficiently.

Employment Details

• Position Type: Part-Time Contractor (W-9)
• Schedule: Flexible Hours
• Compensation: Commensurate with experience and based on a pre-determined contractor rate.
• Contract Term: August 2026 – May 2027
