Shasta Regional Medical Center delivers patient-centered healthcare with compassion, dignity and respect for every patient and their family.ResponsibilitiesStaff RN is directly accountable to the OR Charge Nurse and the Director of Surgical Services, and indirectly to the House Supervisor.The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for the comprehensive delivery of both direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative environment, employing the nursing process, which encompasses assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role extends across diverse patient demographics, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and older adults.Key Responsibilities:Coordination of Care: Collaborate effectively with the surgical team, including surgeons and anesthesiologists, ensuring cohesive patient management.Leadership and Guidance: Direct and support the OR Technician and other personnel while upholding the highest standards of professional nursing practice.Interdepartmental Collaboration: Engage with various departments to facilitate a seamless continuum of care and enhance patient flow.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all relevant regulations, standards, and hospital or unit policies.Performance Improvement Participation: Actively engage in Performance Improvement initiatives, unit meetings, and professional development in-services.Resource Availability: Serve as a knowledgeable resource for colleagues, offering guidance and support as needed.QualificationsEducation, Experience, Training1. Current and valid state RN License. 2. Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintenance. 3. Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current. 4. Current PALS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current. 5. Minimum of one-year previous Perioperative experience or on-the-job training 6. Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN) preferred 7. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.Pay TransparencyShasta Regional Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that provides employees the flexibility to tailor benefits according to their individual needs.
