Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert telemetry nursing care across MS-Tele, PCU/Stepdown, and occasional ICU holds
• Monitor cardiac and neuro patients, interpret telemetry strips and escalate concerns promptly
• Titrate heparin drips safely and according to protocol
• Accurately document patient care in EPIC and use Alaris infusion pumps as needed
• Assess patient acuity and prioritize care to maintain safe ratios
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate seamless patient transitions
• Support unit needs by floating within the Zone 4 hospitals and adapting to new teams
• Coach patients and families, delivering clear education and compassionate care

Qualifications

• Active RN license (able to practice in Kansas); BSN not required
• Minimum 2 years of MS-Telemetry nursing experience within the last 3 years
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and heparin titration
• Comfortable charting in EPIC and working with Alaris infusion pumps (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to obtain housing that allows floating within a 60-mile radius
• Ability to be in-state for orientation week and flexibility to float across multiple units

Education

• Active RN license required
• ADN or BSN acceptable (BSN not required for this role)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong telemetry interpretation and cardiac/neuro assessment skills
• Proficient in EPIC charting workflows and documentation best practices
• Familiarity with Alaris infusion pump programming and medication titration
• Excellent clinical judgment, triage skills, and time management on 12-hour shifts
• Effective communication and teamwork when joining new unit teams
• Adaptability to different specialties: Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Trauma and more
