Outpatient Licensed Practical Nurse - LPN LVN - Dialysis

Paid Dialysis Training Tuition Reimbursement – Full Time Overview Provide direct patient care and support the hemodialysis team under the supervision of a registered nurse. Contribute to a safe, high‑quality dialysis environment and deliver excellent customer service to patients, families, and staff. Responsibilities Perform all technical aspects of dialysis procedures for assigned patients as prescribed. Administer and monitor treatments, documenting parameters on flow sheets and individual patient records. Respond to changes in patient condition, equipment issues, or incidents; report promptly to supervisor. Provide patient and family education on end‑stage renal disease, dialysis therapy, diet, and medications. Assist with emergency procedures, including initiation of CPR and use of emergency equipment. Operate dialysis equipment safely, performing minor troubleshooting as needed. Maintain cleanliness and adherence to bloodborne pathogen control policies. Participate in staff meetings, care‑plan discussions, and continuous education sessions. Support coordination of care with physicians, dietitians, and social workers. Assist in the treatment of patients requiring heavy lifting, ambulation, and use of equipment up to 200lbs. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program (LPN/LVN) with current state licensure. One year of medical‑surgical nursing experience preferred; hemodialysis and ICU experience desirable. Completion of a hemodialysis theory and practice training course. Current CPR certification. Ability to provide coverage at multiple facilities during shortages. Good verbal and written communication skills; color‑blindness test compliance required. Discovery and application of the Nurses Technical Training Program upon hire. Education Accredited School of Practical Nursing (LPN or LVN) with state licensure. Physical Demands and Working Conditions The role requires frequent, prolonged standing, bending, and lifting of patients and equipment up to 200lbs. Work includes desk and computer tasks, patient interaction, and occasional travel between facilities. The environment is a health‑care facility with controlled temperature and moderate noise.
