CookGoolsby's is looking for dependable, hardworking cooks to join our kitchen team. Our cooks are responsible for preparing quality food, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and working efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and cook food according to Goolsby's recipes and standardsProperly portion, plate, and present foodComplete food prep and stocking as assignedMaintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work stationFollow all food safety and sanitation guidelinesProperly operate and maintain kitchen equipmentCommunicate with other kitchen team members and management throughout the shiftKeep up with ticket times and maintain quality during busy periodsMonitor food levels and communicate when items need to be prepped or restockedComplete opening and closing kitchen duties as assignedProperly label, date, store, and rotate food productsHelp maintain overall cleanliness of the kitchen and back-of-house areasQualificationsPrevious restaurant or kitchen experience preferred, but not requiredAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentAbility to follow recipes, directions, and food safety proceduresReliable and punctualStrong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to remain calm and productive during busy shiftsWillingness to learn and take directionAbility to stand for extended periods and safely lift and carry kitchen suppliesWhat We're Looking ForWe're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, shows up ready to contribute, and understands the importance of teamwork.
