Job Opportunity

This position requires night shifts with a schedule of 3 twelve-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. There is no on-call requirement, and holidays or weekends are not included in this role.

Job Description

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive care for labor and delivery, antepartum, and mother/baby/post-partum patients. Experience in circulating for cesarean sections is also required.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and EFM.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous charge experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with Epic charting system is required.
• Community hospital experience is preferred.

Skills and Responsibilities

The following skills are essential for this role:

• Administering blood and blood products.
• Supporting breastfeeding and lactation.
• Conducting various assessments including APGAR scores and newborn assessments.
• Managing high-risk deliveries and postpartum hemorrhage.
• Performing sterile vaginal exams and assisting with vaginal deliveries.
• Ensuring patient education on discharge and care practices.

Unit Information

The unit cares for a diverse patient demographic, including infants and adults. The unit features a collaborative team environment and supports the transfer of high-risk obstetric patients and neonates as necessary. The facility does not deliver newborns less than 35 weeks gestation or weighing under 2500 grams.

Compliance and Onboarding

Candidates will need to complete required onboarding processes, including lab work, within 35 days of acceptance. A comprehensive review of work history for the past 7 years will also be conducted.

This position is located in a community hospital setting in the state of California.

Please be aware of the maximum allowable time off policy, which includes no more than 7 days per contract. Holiday time off requests are limited to one per contract.
