Location Hollywood, Florida Summary Our Transport program provides complete care for high‑acuity patients from infant to adolescent during inter‑facility transport via ambulance or fixed wing. Transport RNs ensure continuity of care, medical management, and safe transport of patients. From cardiac monitoring to ICU‑level nursing care, RNs work directly with doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals to deliver the best possible outcomes for patients. Responsibilities Demonstrates leadership in the delivery of patient care. Assesses the physical, psychological, social, and cultural dimensions of patients according to professional practice standards and institutional policy/procedure. Provides for a safe environment and safe delivery of care. Organizes, coordinates, and prioritizes nursing care activities considering the needs of the patient. Evaluates effectiveness of care and care coordination, progressing patients toward desired outcomes. Implements patient‑population‑specific interventions based on individual patient needs. The incumbent must lead others and take appropriate action when required. Must be able to safely and securely fasten seat belts and shoulder harnesses in aircraft or ambulance, as provided by the manufacturer, without modification. Able to tolerate stressors of flight and medical transport, including excessive motion, vibration, extreme temperatures, standing or sitting for prolonged periods, frequent walking, bending/stooping and providing patient care in confined spaces. Able to respond to visual, verbal and non‑verbal commands and communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Must be able to lift/push/pull a minimum of 150 lbs. May be exposed to hazardous chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious diseases. Required Work Experience: Three (3) years of neonatal or pediatric critical care or ED experience required. Other Information: Must have CCRN – Critical Care Registered Nurse Certification or C‑NPT – Certified Neonatal and Pediatric Transport Certification PFCCS – Pediatric Fundamental Critical Care Support within two (2) years of hire date. NRP is required for Peds and NEO within six (6) months of hire. ACLS is required within six (6) months of hire.
