Job Title Registered Nurse – Cardiac PCU / IMC / Stepdown Location Seattle, WA | Intermediate Care / Progressive Care Unit Schedule / Job Type Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every other weekend expected Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in a Cardiac PCU setting managing conditions including myocardial infarction, primary arrhythmias, coronary artery disease, heart failure, and stroke patients with cardiac involvement Care for pre- and post-operative open-heart surgery and vascular surgery patients, including sternal precautions and chest tube setup and management Perform telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation and management Administer blood and blood products; manage groin and radial band sites post-cath lab procedures Support specialized structural heart patients including VAD and TAVR patients; perform epicardial pacer management and cardioversion/defibrillation as needed Float to like units as needed; flexibility with scheduling including holiday coverage is expected (expected commitment of 3 of 5 designated holidays) Required Qualifications Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission ACLS , BLS , and NIHSS certifications required Epic EMR proficiency is a hard-stop requirement Minimum 2 years of experience required; must include surgical telemetry experience with open-heart surgery, vascular surgery, and NIH stroke scale application This unit does not accept first-time travelers; prior travel nursing experience is required Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible Preferred Experience / Skills Experience with VAD (Ventricular Assist Device) and TAVR management Experience with CPAP/BiPAP, trach care, and breathing treatments LVAD and open-heart post-op care within 24–28 hours of surgery Why Join Us Work in a specialized cardiac progressive care environment with a consistent nurse-to-patient ratio expectation of 1:4 Gain experience with a high-acuity, clinically diverse patient population including structural heart, post-surgical, and stroke patients with cardiac involvement Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID 790229.
