Water Treatment Operator

Job Type: Full-time

Note: 11pm to 730am Tuesday-Saturday.

Description:

• Able to operate a shift unassisted and have the ability to rebuild equipment.
• A Water Operator Level B possesses a Water Operator license and 1 - 2 endorsements.
• Endorsements required for Millsboro include Distribution, Disinfection, Chemical Feed and Filtration.
• Will have 1 - 3 years of acceptable operating experience.
• Operates mostly under supervision, 11pm to 730am Tuesday-Saturday.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

• Operation of the water treatment system.
• Assists with compliance documentation and recordkeeping.
• Maintenance of water equipment and wells.
• Adheres to all safety requirements, including personal protective equipment (PPE), preventing, and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, lockout-tagout procedures and process safety management related matters.
• Performs process control lab work.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
• Active Water Operator license with 1 – 2 endorsements.
• 1 – 3 years of acceptable operating experience.
• DE: Recertify every 2 years with completion of 20 hours of approved training within that timeframe.

Skills and Certifications:

• Water Operator License, must have.
