Project Manager

Project Manager (Construction) As Project Manager, you will be a part of a leadership team dedicated to directing the day‑to‑day management of the project. You will create a project plan that outlines the tasks, timelines, and resources required to achieve the project’s goals, and support the Senior Project Manager with communication among stakeholders, risk management, and progress monitoring. Responsibilities Lead all activities related to contract administration, change orders, procurement, schedule, and financial reporting. Maintain thorough knowledge of the company's contracts and the roles of all parties involved. Secure required permits and verify insurance coverage for subcontractors. Facilitate project meetings to coordinate work activity. Lead, train, and develop project team members. Prepare and submit monthly job status reports outlining project priorities and issues. Lead project close‑out, including turnover of manuals and warranties and preparation of final payment documents for subcontractors. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with counterparts at owners, engineering, and design firms. Set deadlines and monitor project progress. Drive a culture of safety on the project site. Support the company’s acquisition of new work by participating in proposals and presentations. Provide leadership to foster an environment of inclusion and diversity. Qualifications Basic Qualifications Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, a related discipline, or relevant work experience. 4+ years of construction experience required; working for a general contractor on large‑scale construction projects is highly preferred. 2+ years leading, developing, and motivating teams. Understanding of the strategic, operational, and financial components of a construction project. Ability to make timely and effective decisions. Experience managing projects successfully from start to finish. Skilled at developing and negotiating relationships with owners and trade contractors. Strong work ethic, leadership, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Preferred Qualifications DBIA and/or LEED Accreditation. Physical & Work Environment The role is active and hands‑on on construction sites. Expect to be on your feet frequently, navigate uneven terrain, stairs, ladders, and hoists, and lift up to 25 pounds (occasionally 50 pounds). The position requires visual acuity for reading plans and inspecting work, and time in an office setting for tasks such as computer work, document review, and meetings. The work environment includes exposure to all weather conditions, moderate to high noise levels, and use of moving mechanical equipment.
