Job Title: Production Worker
Job Description
The Production Worker operates on the bottling line within a food and beverage manufacturing facility, ensuring products are filled, sealed, labeled, and packed according to strict quality and safety standards. This role is project-based and expected to last approximately 5–6 months, with the possibility of extension. Team members rotate through multiple stations on the bottling line and contribute to efficient, high-quality production in a clean, GMP-compliant environment.
Responsibilities
Work on the bottling production line to support end-to-end processing of products, from empty bottles to finished, packed cartons.
Operate and monitor the unscrambler to ensure bottles are properly oriented and standing upright on the line.
Check and adjust the orientor to confirm bottles face the correct direction for accurate label application.
Assist with the filler station to ensure bottles are filled consistently and accurately with the designated product (such as honey batches).
Support the capper station by confirming caps and lids are correctly placed and securely fastened on each bottle.
Monitor the coder to ensure manufacturing dates and required coding are correctly printed on every bottle.
Oversee the heat tunnel process to verify that bottles are properly sealed and meet quality and safety standards.
Operate or assist with the labeler to ensure labels are applied neatly, accurately, and in the correct position.
Work at the cartoner station to seal boxes and prepare finished goods for shipping in an organized and efficient manner.
Rotate through the three main positions on the line (Top Position, Middle Position, Packer) during the shift as directed by line leadership.
Perform visual inspections of bottles, labels, codes, seals, and packaging to identify and remove any defective or nonconforming products.
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Foods (SQF) procedures at all times to maintain food safety and product quality.
Complete required documentation accurately, including production records and quality checks, using clear written English.
Collaborate with team members and line leads to maintain a smooth, continuous workflow and meet production targets.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all facility hygiene and housekeeping standards.
Stand at the work station for the entire shift and remain engaged in production tasks throughout the scheduled work period.
Arrive on time, clock in as required, and be at the assigned work station and ready to work at the start of each shift.
Follow all safety guidelines and facility policies, including dress code and equipment handling procedures.
Support other production lines (such as pouch or color lines) as needed, based on operational requirements.
Essential Skills
Strong attention to detail to perform accurate visual inspections and ensure all bottles, labels, seals, and packaging meet quality standards.
Ability to read and write English to complete documentation, understand work instructions, and follow written procedures.
Ability to stand for the entire shift while performing repetitive production tasks on the line.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment and communicate clearly with coworkers and line leads.
Comfort working in a production, general labor, or manufacturing setting with repetitive tasks and rotating positions.
Capability to follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and comply with Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations.
Reliability in attendance and punctuality, with the expectation of being clocked in and at the work station at the start of the shift.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in production line work, packing, inspection, or general labor in a manufacturing or GMP environment is beneficial.
Familiarity with packing orders, working on a bottling line, or handling food and beverage products is an advantage.
Comfort working in a Safe Quality Foods (SQF) certified facility with stringent policies and procedures.
No high school diploma or GED is required, making this a strong opportunity for entry-level candidates.
Interest in learning multiple production lines (bottling, pouch, color) to broaden skills and versatility.
Motivation to build a long-term career path that can progress from production line worker to line lead or roles in other departments if a permanent position is earned.

Work Environment
The role is based in a clean, partially climate-controlled food and beverage production facility that operates multiple lines, including a pouch line, bottling line, and high-speed color line. The workplace follows strict Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, and is certified under Safe Quality Foods (SQF), requiring all employees to adhere to detailed policies and procedures. Production operations rely on close teamwork and a strong focus on quality, supported by a structured operations hierarchy with plant and production leadership and shift line leads. The workforce is diverse and multi-cultural, and good attendance and a strong work ethic are expected. Dress code consists of jeans and a t-shirt without buttons or hoodies; no jewelry or food is allowed on the production floor to maintain GMP standards. Shifts are available on first (7:00 a.m. to 3:20 p.m., Monday–Friday), second (3:00 p.m. to 11:20 p.m., Monday–Friday), and regular third shift (11:00 p.m. to 7:20 a.m., Sunday–Thursday), with overtime on Fridays as needed. Employees are expected to clock in shortly before their shift and be at their work station ready to start work at the scheduled time.

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr.
