Lead Barista

We're opening a cocktail bar and coffee shop in Steamboat Springs this summer and are looking for an experienced Head Barista to lead the coffee program from the ground up. This is a leadership role with real ownership over the coffee side of a dual-concept operation, working closely with ownership to build something worth being proud of.
The Role
This is a working leadership position. You'll be behind the bar daily while also taking responsibility for the systems, standards, and team culture that make the coffee program run.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily coffee bar operations and set the standard for quality and consistency
- Develop and oversee the coffee prep program
- Build and maintain par levels and ordering structures for the coffee program
- Train and mentor baristas
- Contribute to a service culture that reflects both craft and genuine hospitality
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of barista experience, with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role
- Deep knowledge of espresso, brewing methods, and coffee service
- Experience with inventory management or ordering preferred
- A natural teacher and team builder
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing quality
- Enthusiasm for being part of something new and growing with the business
Compensation
- $16–$19/hr + tips
