Overview
Join our vibrant café team as a mobile Barista and become the heart of our customer experience! In this energetic role, you will craft delicious coffee beverages, serve food with a smile, and create a welcoming environment for every guest. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help build lasting relationships with customers while ensuring smooth truck operations. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food service, sales, and customer engagement within a lively retail setting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair
- Operate Clover POS system
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders clearly, and addressing inquiries professionally
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the truck.
- Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy, including cashiering duties and basic math calculations for transactions
- Follow food safety protocols diligently to ensure a safe environment for both guests and staff
- Be available Sundays 9-11 for a recurring event I have booked.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Barista or in the food industry with strong coffee-making skills
- Familiarity with POS systems like Toast, Square, or Clover for seamless transactions
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Strong time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently while maintaining quality standards
- Knowledge of food safety practices, food handling, and proper sanitation procedures
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for cash handling and sales reconciliation
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and assist customers confidently
- Clean driving record, 21+ years old (for insurance), and able to drive the truck (similar to a Sprinter van)
