The successful candidate will ensure product functionality meets specifications and expertly diagnose failures, working both in our facility and at customer sites.A leading designer & manufacturer of highly engineered backup power technology for emergency lighting, traffic, rail, and broadband.What's in it for you?Elwood Staffing associates are eligible for a comprehensive and competitive benefits package plus an exclusive savings program, including:Medical/Vision/Dental/Rx plansHoliday PayTeladoc (online care)Referral Bonus IncentiveWeekly Pay401kAnd More!Test Technician Details:Temp-to-Hire position$ 20.00 / hourFull Time work availableFirst Shift (Monday through Friday from 07:00am to 03:30pm)Perform comprehensive electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical tests on a range of products including electronic systems, subassemblies, and individual parts.Utilize various test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, functional testers) to gather data and verify performance against established specifications.Analyze test results to determine if units conform to design specifications and operational parameters.Troubleshoot and diagnose the root cause of unit failures, applying systematic problem-solving techniques.Document test procedures, results, and failure analyses accurately and thoroughly.Collaborate with engineering and production teams to provide feedback on product performance and suggest improvements.Conduct testing and troubleshooting activities both within the company facility and at various customer locations, representing the company professionally.Test Technician Qualifications:Proven experience conducting electronic, mechanical, or electromechanical testing.Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for electronic and mechanical systems.Proficiency in using common test equipment (e.g., DMMs, oscilloscopes, function generators).Applicant may be subject to a background checkPre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment*A conviction record will not necessarily prevent you from being employed.
