Contract | Days (Primarily Monday–Friday; rotation to weekends and nights as needed) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Rotate throughout Pre-op, PACU (Phase I), and Phase II recovery areas, providing direct patient care across all phases of the perioperative continuum
• Manage a diverse adult and pediatric patient population including general surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, thoracic, bariatrics, OB/GYN, surgical oncology, ophthalmology, urology, plastics, dental/ENT/maxillofacial, and regional acute pain/blocks/epidurals
• Recover ICU-level patients in the PACU when an ICU bed is not immediately available, requiring strong critical care assessment skills
• Operate and monitor respiratory therapy equipment including ventilators, CPAP, and BiPAP
• Read and interpret cardiac monitor strips independently
• Participate in on-call rotation, including weeknight, weekend, and holiday call shifts, with a one-hour response time requirement

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Prior PACU experience required
• Experience with RT equipment (ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP)
• Experience recovering ICU-level patients
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Level I Trauma PACU experience strongly preferred
• Experience with a high-volume, multi-specialty surgical environment including pediatric cases
• Familiarity with regional anesthesia recovery including epidurals and nerve blocks
