Atlantic Group is hiring a Senior Accountant in Philadelphia, PA for our client, supporting general accounting, revenue accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory reporting. This opportunity is ideal for a public accounting professional looking to transition into a corporate accounting environment with strong internal mobility and advancement potential. The role will work closely with accounting leadership while gaining broad exposure across financial reporting, controls, and business operations.


Responsibilities as the Senior Accountant:

• Month-End Close: Support monthly and quarterly close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and account analysis.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports, analyze financial results, and investigate account and reporting variances.
• General Accounting: Support general ledger accounting and ensure transactions are accurately recorded in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Compliance & Controls: Maintain compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and applicable financial reporting requirements.
• Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to accounting and reporting requests.
• Team & Process Support: Provide guidance to junior team members and support accounting process improvements and special projects.

Qualifications for the Senior Accountant:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• Certification: CPA designation or active progress toward obtaining the CPA is required.
• Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of accounting experience, including public accounting experience, is required.
• Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of GAAP, general accounting, financial reporting, month-end close, and internal controls is required.
• Technical Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with ERP or financial reporting systems are required.
• Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively across teams.
