Procurement Specialist

Procurement SpecialistProcurement Specialist is responsible to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality procurement while maintaining compliance with company requirements, controlling budget and maintaining vendor relationships. This position oversees and manages suppliers on every aspect of tooling, inventory, and quality of raw materials to ensure company specifications are met. Responsibility also includes managing projects, reporting/presenting and closely working with Customers.Corporate:Adheres to the HTGSS policies and proceduresLearns, demonstrates and upholds HTGSS Core ValuesComplies with all HTGSS Certification standards; Management System (TS16949), Environmental ISO 14001-2015 and Health and Safety ISO 45001-2018 policies and proceduresTreats all HTGSS team members with respect and professional courtesyAlways strives to maintain a positive work environmentManages the department budget efficiently as per approved annual budgetPerforms additional assignments / duties as assignedEHS:Adhere to all safety policies and proceduresComplies with all safety policies and 5S clean philosophy to maintain a safe, clean working environmentMeets company safety goalsDuties and Responsibilities:Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure materials meet specifications and timelinesMaintain accurate records of projects and supplier communicationsMonitor supplier performance with supplier audits, onboarding, and performance evaluations, resolving issues and concernsAnalyze industry and demand trends, material cost fluctuations, and potential supply chain risks and support management with the development and implementation of sourcing strategiesInspect and evaluate the quality of purchased items and resolve shortcomingsMonitor inventory to ensure the flow of goods remains positiveContact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other problems.Coordination with suppliers making sure all project requirements are met on a timely basis.Participate in supplier process auditsSupport EO changes with internal cross-functional teams and suppliersResponsible for supplier packaging and supplier rack maintenanceComplete comprehensive report analyses.Prepares inventory report of materials, parts and other assets bought by the company during the execution of the project.Implement strategies in minimizing costs and improve efficiency; participate in VAVE projectsLiaise with cross-functional teams and maintain strong supplier relationsPrepare supplier and sourcing contingency plansReporting:Reports to: Procurement ManagerBenefits:401(k)Health InsuranceLife InsuranceSupplemental InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsurancePaid Time OffCompetency Requirements:Confidentiality: Adheres to the upmost confidentiality; particularly regarding handling employment/personal information.
