The Maneuver Dominance (MD) Team at Anduril develops aerial robotic systems designed to operate in large coordinated teams in concert with ground maneuver forces. We develop perception, autonomy, and command and control (C2) systems to solve some of the hardest problems facing our customers.Here you will work on core product development of portable C2 systems including the integration with ground and air vehicles. The role requires high ownership and frequent collaboration with other core disciplines. The ideal candidate would be practical, hands-on and a self starter. High growth potential is possible as well as additional leadership opportunities.WHAT YOU’LL DOExecute rapid evaluation of engineering concepts in a wide range of fieldsPerform trade studies and physics-based analysis of blue-sky engineering problemsDesign, implementation, and test of complex electro-mechanical systemsHigh level system ownership with large levels of professional autonomyLead design reviews, run analysis, visit vendors, define and execute hardware test plansBuild prototypes, analyze failures, and transition successful projects into productionSupport critical hardware demonstrations with customers as neededTravel to test sites as neededUse first principles physics as a basis for every decisionREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience in an immersive technical project (collegiate project teams or professional settings)Understanding of low voltage and high voltage power electronics and control systemsAbility to perform power system and electrical loading analysis, simulation, and testingHigh competence using lab test equipment (bench-top power supplies, electronics loads, oscilloscopes, DMM, logic/spectrum analyzers, etc.)Familiarity with battery and UPS systems of various chemistries along with high voltage and low voltage safety and design considerationsAbility to read, interpret, and manipulate schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts.High competence with, and fluid use of, engineering first principlesBS, MS or PhD in an engineering field, or equivalent work experienceEligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearancePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience developing aircraft subsystem layouts, performing architectural trade studies, and evaluating vendor performance dataCompetency in engineering analysis, including thermal and electricalHands-on prototyping (soldering, board assembly, harnessing)Outstanding leadership and interpersonal skillsFamiliarity with designing for rugged environmentsExperience integrating electrical and mechanical subsystems (sensors, payloads, weapons, etc.) onto air vehiclesExperience in developing a variety of electronics hardware products (UAVs, wearables, firearms, high power electric propulsion, optical systems, or other complex mechanisms)Experience in characterizing circuits at both schematic and board levelUnderstanding of MIL-STD requirements such as MIL-STD-1275, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810, MIL-DTL-38999US Salary Range$98,000—$171,000 USDThe salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
