Principal Scientific Data Scientist

We are a fast-growing startup backed by an Nvidia VP, working alongside top AI labs and global tech companies to build the foundational data layer that will power the next generation of AI-driven drug discovery.

We are conducting a confidential search for a senior scientific leader to oversee and execute our data strategy. We need a scientist who can lead—not just manage—and who brings a wealth of "big pharma" clinical experience to the table.

The Role

As our Principal Scientific Data Scientist, you will ensure our data is world-class, rigorous, and ready to train the AI models that will discover tomorrow's breakthrough therapeutics.

You will:

• Lead the day-to-day operations and strategic direction of our biological data layer across multiple concurrent projects.
• Leverage your deep expertise in bioinformatics and Real-World Data (RWD) to translate complex clinical needs into precise data specifications.
• Draw heavily on your background in global pharma clinical programs to personally examine, validate, and enforce the scientific rigor of our data generation pipelines.
• Manage a distributed network of PhD-level expert contractors to recruit, brief, review, and iterate on scientific data generation.

The Ideal Candidate

• Education: Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Pharmacology, or a closely related life sciences field.
• Domain Expertise: Extensive experience working within global pharmaceutical companies, with a strong focus on clinical programs and translational research.
• Technical Skills: Deep bioinformatics expertise with a proven track record of handling Real-World Data (RWD), multi-omics datasets, and clinical trial data analysis pipelines.
• Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading computational teams, managing complex data operations, and taking ownership of end-to-end data quality.
• Mindset: Detail-obsessed, fast-moving, and possessing a "builder" mentality—you are a scientist first who understands the biology and can build the infrastructure to support it.
