Emergency Room Registered Nurse - Night Shift

Location: Maryland

Assignment Duration: This is a 6-week contract position.

Schedule: Night shift available: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30) or 4x12-hour shifts, including every other weekend and holiday requirements.

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join our team on the night shift. This position requires a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience and a valid RN license in Maryland. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing exceptional care to a diverse patient population, ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics.

Responsibilities:

• Administer nursing care in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
• Assess, develop, and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide quality patient outcomes.
• Monitor patients, manage ventilated patients, and administer emergency medications.
• Handle psychiatric emergencies with appropriate interventions.
• Document patient information using the Epic charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Consistent experience in an Emergency Room setting (minimum of 2 years).
• Valid RN license in the state of Maryland or compact state license.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS.
• CPI certification is required for handling psychiatric patients.
• Proficiency in managing various patient diagnoses, including respiratory, cardiac, and psychological conditions.
