Warehouse Coordinator
Location: Savannah, GA Contract: 2 Years Client: Georgia Power
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and safety-focused Warehouse Technician to support warehouse operations, material handling, and inventory activities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with forklift operations, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively in both team and independent environments.
This role requires attention to safety, communication, and organization in a fast-paced utility warehouse setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload warehouse materials utilizing a forklift.
- Assist Senior Storekeepers with receiving and putting away materials.
- Maintain warehouse and yard housekeeping to ensure a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Support inventory control and material tracking as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures, reporting any hazards or incidents promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient daily operations.
Skill Sets & Expertise
- Proven forklift experience (operation, loading/unloading).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively as needed.
- Excellent multitasking and organizational abilities.
- Self-starter with a proactive attitude and strong attention to detail.
Required Qualifications
- 13 years of related warehouse or material handling experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Forklift Certification (required).
