The court system employs nearly 3,300 personnel who support 406 elected justices, judges, and circuit court clerks. The Office of Statewide Programs, Department of Pretrial Services has an opening for a Pretrial Services Specialist-Shift. This position is Region 6, located in Boyd County. The Pretrial Services Specialist reviews all arrested individuals to determine eligibility for pretrial release. This includes reviewing charges, conducting interviews, performing background checks, and making pre- arraignment release recommendations or consulting with a judge when necessary.
