About the Position

Job Title: Clinical Nurse II Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 3 years in a Medical Surgical setting License: Current license in Nursing required Certifications: ACLS BLS NIH Stroke Certification Must-Have: Weekend availability required, every other weekend Description: We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse II for our Medical Surgical unit. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience. Candidates should possess current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke. This position requires strong skills in patient care management and charting. The nurse will care for adult and geriatric patients with a variety of diagnoses. The typical patient ratio will be 1 nurse to 6 patients. As part of the interdisciplinary team, support services will include physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Candidates should have experience in managing the following: blood products, IVs, telemetry, and wound care. Additional preferred experiences include charge nurse duties and familiarity with community hospital charting systems. Bariatric surgery, chest tube management, and central line blood draws are key skills needed. This is a full-time night shift position requiring dedication and teamwork.
