We are looking for a commercially driven energy professional who can build relationships, uncover new areas of demand and turn market opportunities into valuable long-term agreements. This is not a traditional account-management position or a role built around maintaining an inherited book. You will have the freedom to open new relationships, shape commercial opportunities and influence how the US business develops, while benefiting from the credibility and resources of a successful global organisation. The opportunity You will take ownership of commercial development across a growing area of the business. Working with customers, market participants and internal specialists, you will identify areas where the company can add value, develop suitable commercial structures and progress opportunities through to agreement. The position combines relationship development, market insight and transaction execution. You will work closely with legal, risk, finance and operational colleagues to assess opportunities and ensure they can be delivered successfully. As the market evolves, you will also help develop new offerings, improve commercial processes and bring customer feedback into the wider growth strategy. What you’ll be doing Build relationships with organisations operating across US energy and infrastructure markets Identify new customers, partnerships and commercial opportunities Understand customer requirements and develop suitable solutions Create opportunities rather than relying solely on an established pipeline Lead commercial discussions from initial engagement through negotiation and agreement Produce analysis to support pricing and internal decision-making Coordinate legal, financial, risk and operational input throughout the process Monitor relevant market, policy and regulatory developments Share customer and competitor insight with senior leadership Help improve the processes and tools needed to support future growth Represent the business at relevant industry meetings and events You do not need to come from one specific product area. We are interested in people who understand the US energy landscape, have strong external relationships and can demonstrate genuine ownership of commercial opportunities. What we’re looking for Experience in a commercial, transactional or market-facing energy position Knowledge of US power, commodity or clean-infrastructure markets A track record of developing customers, counterparties or strategic relationships Experience progressing complex opportunities involving multiple stakeholders Confidence discussing pricing, risk, contracts and commercial value Strong analytical, communication and negotiation skills The ability to work across legal, financial, operational and commercial teams Comfort operating independently within a growing business area An entrepreneurial approach and willingness to create opportunities from scratch Why consider it?
