Program Coordinator

The Program Coordinator plays an important leadership role in planning, organizing, implementing, and monitoring THA’s community-based programs.

This individual works closely with the Program Director, volunteers, community partners, and organizational leadership to ensure programs operate efficiently, meet community needs, and support THA’s mission.

The ideal candidate is compassionate, organized, dependable, creative, and passionate about serving children and families.

Key Responsibilities

1. Program Planning & Coordination

• Assist in developing and implementing program activities and initiatives.
• Coordinate community outreach events, distributions, workshops, and services.
• Develop program schedules, activity plans, and operational timelines.
• Identify opportunities to expand services into underserved communities.

1. Volunteer & Team Coordination

• Work alongside volunteers and program leadership to accomplish program objectives.
• Assist with assigning volunteer duties and coordinating activities.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and professionalism.
• Communicate volunteer staffing and resource needs to leadership.

1. Community Engagement & Partnerships

• Build positive relationships with schools, community organizations, local businesses, and families.
• Assist with identifying potential program partners and sponsors.
• Represent THA professionally during community activities and meetings.
• Help connect families with appropriate community resources.

1. Program Monitoring & Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of program participation, activities, and services delivered.
• Track program goals, outcomes, and community impact.
• Prepare regular updates and reports for the Program Director.
• Identify challenges and recommend improvements.

1. Compliance & Safety

• Follow THA policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
• Protect confidential information involving children and families.
• Support safe, inclusive, and respectful program environments.
• Complete required training and background screening when applicable.

THA Programs

Program Coordinators may be assigned to one of the following initiatives:

• Tiny Tummies: Food insecurity prevention, meal distributions, food pantries, and family nutrition assistance.
• Bright Futures: Educational enrichment, mentorship, STEM learning, school readiness, and career development.
• Healing Hearts: Emotional wellness awareness, family support, violence prevention, and community resource referrals.
• Safe Haven: Child safety education, bullying prevention, and family safety initiatives.
• Tiny Essentials: Clothing, hygiene products, school supplies, and essential household assistance.
