Job Title: Physician, Gastroenterology

Job Summary:

Main Line Health is seeking a dedicated and skilled Gastroenterologist to join our dynamic team at Lankenau Medical Center and Paoli Hospital. This role is ideal for a GI physician who thrives in a practice-based setting, focusing on the management of gastrointestinal conditions, performing procedures, and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams. As we expand our GI services, this position offers the opportunity to be part of a growing and innovative program that supports the needs of our diverse patient population.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide inpatient and outpatient consultative gastroenterology care for a wide range of acute  and chronic GI conditions.
• Perform inpatient endoscopic procedures including colonoscopies, upper endoscopies (EGDs), and urgent/emergent interventions; ERCP welcome, but not necessary
• Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, surgeons, and other specialists to coordinate comprehensive inpatient care.
• Participate in hospital rounds inpatient service
• Ensure timely documentation of consults, procedures, and treatment plans in the electronic medical record.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and clinical protocols related to GI care.
• Participate in weekend and holiday call rotations as part of the GI practice.

Qualifications:

• Board Certification (or Board Eligibility) in Gastroenterology.
• Proficiency in inpatient GI procedures and acute care management.
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to work in a hospital environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Current and valid medical license in the state of Pennsylvania (or eligibility to obtain).
