Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours/Week | Alternating Weekends | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 16-bed cardiovascular ICU setting with patient ratios of 2:1 or 1:1 (occasionally 3:1 depending on acuity)
• Manage titration of vesicant medications, pressors, sedation, and paralytics in critically ill cardiovascular patients
• Operate and monitor advanced equipment including ventilators, telemetry, IABP, CRRT, Impella, and hypothermia devices
• Perform hemodynamic monitoring including PA catheter setup and interpretation, transvenous pacing, and cardioversion
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner electronic health record system
• Float to all areas of the facility per traveler floating policy; function independently as unit is RN-only with no HUC or PCT support

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience
• Proficiency in titration of vesicant medications and familiarity with pressors, sedation, and paralytics
• Experience with mechanical ventilators and tracheostomy care
• Competency in telemetry interpretation and hemodynamic monitoring including PA catheter setup and interpretation
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) on an alternating weekend schedule
• Must adhere to dress code: all navy or navy and white scrubs; no pullovers, hoodies, or green scrubs

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CCRN certification strongly recommended
• Experience with IABP, Impella, and/or CRRT
• Familiarity with procedures such as cardioversion, central line insertion, bronchoscopy, chest tube insertion, pericardiocentesis, and thoracentesis
• Prior experience with Cerner documentation system
