A person with great judgment, initiative, and the ability to deal with complex machinery. The ideal candidate has experience working with and on machinery./ppPosition Snapshot/ppA maintenance technician is commonly expected to know how his/her equipment operates and be able to identify and repair mechanical problems and conduct preventative maintenance. Workers hired into this position will be trained to learn multiple areas of the maintenance functions. To be successful in this role you will:/pulliTroubleshoot, dismantle, repair, and reassemble machinery and production equipment/liliAssist machine operators with preventative maintenance of machines/liliRepair hydraulic and pneumatic equipment/liliOperate welding equipment/liliConduct equipment inspections for proper operation and mechanical integrity/liliUse computer systems to track and document daily maintenance activity/liliAssist team members as needed/liliPractice safe work habits to reduce risk to as low as reasonably achievable.
