Buying Assistant - Women's Footwear
For merchants, everything begins and ends with the consumer! We are looking for a consumerist with an affinity for product who enjoys the energy of moving at the pace of retail and our consumer. A successful Merchant will contribute to an inclusive, positive, and progressive team dynamic. It's about each person bringing skills and passion to a challenging and constantly evolving game.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 1-2 years' experience in footwear or apparel buying and/or merchandising, product creation and/or retail in a vertical, multi-brand or digital environment
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training
- Strong affinity for current market trends and how apparel can continue to be a style leader in the marketplace
- Understanding of common retail and/or digital profit-based metrics such as sell-through, turn, ASP, UPT and others
- Ability to contribute to and drive strategy into action
- Prior work experience at client or in client's industry
- Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Advanced background in Excel
- Basic client knowledge
- Previous experience in relevant consumer product buying and/or merchandising
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Support the execution of strategic merchandising priorities and in-season business needs
- Use historical data, analytics, and Lead/Senior Buyers direction to action against future and current business trends
- Translate strategic intent into action against future and current in-season assortments
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure actions taken are driving consumer demand and in alignment with the overarching strategy
- Participate in seasonal assortment and buy reviews each quarter, as well as in-season trading to influence actions and optimize growth
