Market Risk Tech Specialist (Java/Python)

Salary: $175,000 - 220,000 per year Requirements:

• We need expert-level knowledge of PolyPath.
• We are looking for strong market risk experience, ideally in banking or capital markets.
• We need advanced programming ability in Python and Java.
• We require a solid grasp of fixed income products, pricing, valuation, and risk analytics.
• We expect experience supporting risk models, valuation tools, pricing engines, or market risk platforms.
• We need the ability to investigate and resolve complex system, data, and pricing issues across multiple technology environments.
• We expect strong analytical skills and the ability to explain technical and market risk concepts clearly to both business and technology stakeholders.
• We require experience in a large banking, financial services, or regulated financial institution setting.
• We prefer at least 10 years of experience in banking, capital markets, financial technology, or market risk technology.
• Preferred experience working directly with front office, market risk, finance, model validation, or quantitative teams.
• Preferred strong knowledge of structured fixed income products such as MBS, CMO, ABS, and other securitized products.
• Preferred understanding of pricing, valuation, sensitivities, stress testing, VaR, scenario analysis, yield curves, risk factors, and market data.
• Preferred experience with system integration using APIs, messaging frameworks, batch processes, or data pipelines.
• Preferred experience supporting real-time or high-volume capital markets platforms.
• Preferred strong production support, incident management, and root-cause analysis experience.

• We support and enhance PolyPath platform capabilities used for pricing, valuation, trading, and market risk workflows.
• We partner with business, risk, model, and technology teams to convert complex market risk and fixed income needs into scalable technical solutions.
• We support market risk processes such as sensitivities, stress testing, scenario analysis, VaR, pricing, and valuation workflows.
• We work with fixed income and structured products, including mortgage-backed securities, collateralized mortgage obligations, asset-backed or securitized products, and other structured instruments.
• We develop, improve, and troubleshoot applications, scripts, and integration components using Python and Java.
• We support pricing pipelines, risk data flows, market data integration, and valuation processes within the PolyPath ecosystem.
• We analyze system issues, performance bottlenecks, data inconsistencies, and production incidents related to PolyPath and downstream risk systems.
• We collaborate with front office, risk, finance, infrastructure, and application development teams to deliver accurate and timely risk analytics.
• We support migration, modernization, and integration initiatives involving legacy trading or risk systems and PolyPath architecture.
• We strengthen platform stability through automation, monitoring, alerting, and issue resolution.
