Collections Analyst

Job Summary Trane Technologies in La Crosse, WI is hiring a Collections Analyst for its Corporate Finance team. The role is responsible for managing an accounts receivable portfolio of diversified customers within the Customer Centers, driving collection results to meet business unit and enterprise targets, and building effective customer relationships to maximize collections. Responsibilities Use collection software tools to execute strategies and initiatives that improve receivable delinquency and reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO). Provide timely and accurate responses to customer inquiries, billing errors, payment application issues, disputes, program changes, and new sales requests. Proactively contact customers on past‑due receivables, determine reasons for non‑payment, and decide on placing accounts on credit hold as needed. Handle incoming calls from sales offices and customers, offering support on a variety of collection and account‑maintenance matters. Monitor the assigned customer portfolio to mitigate loss exposure by ensuring each customer stays within their approved credit limits. Recommend changes to existing credit lines and submit over‑limit approval requests within the appropriate authority level. Run DNB reports and obtain credit references to support credit decisions. Promote, negotiate, and sell automated/pre‑payment options to customers. Qualifications High School Diploma required; BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, or related business degree preferred. 1+ year experience in collections or customer service, preferably in manufacturing. Experience with risk analysis and receivables collection is a plus. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships with team personnel, sales representatives, and customers. Strong organizational skills to prioritize daily, weekly, and monthly work to meet or exceed collection metrics. PC literacy and basic Microsoft Office proficiency required. Compensation Annual Base Salary Range: $45,821.66 – $64,224.99. Compensation is based on seniority, merit, location, education, experience, and other factors. No incentive, commission, or sales component is included.
