This role ensures proper mixing, timely delivery, and quality placement of concrete materials while maintaining strict adherence to safety, DOT regulations, and operational standards. The position plays a critical role in supporting project timelines and ensuring material integrity from plant to placement.Key responsibilities include:Safely operate a concrete mixer truck to transport ready-mix concrete to job sitesMonitor mixing process to ensure proper consistency and quality of concreteSafely discharge concrete according to job site specifications and crew directionCoordinate with dispatch, plant personnel, and field crews to ensure timely deliveriesFollow all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety proceduresMaintain safe work zones and support crew and public safetyWear and maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all timesOperate equipment safely in varying job site and traffic conditionsPerform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of mixer truck and equipmentMaintain proper drum function, fluid levels, and vehicle conditionClean mixer drum and truck after deliveries to prevent buildup and maintain performanceReport mechanical issues promptly and complete required documentationEnsure proper handling and delivery of concrete to maintain product qualityAssist crews with positioning and coordination during poursSupport basic job site activities as needed, including traffic control or setupAdapt to changing schedules, climate and job site conditionsSuccess in this role is typically demonstrated by:Safe operation with full compliance to DOT and safety standardsConsistent on-time delivery of concrete with proper quality and consistencyProper maintenance and cleanliness of mixer equipmentEffective coordination with dispatch, plant, and field teamsReliable performance in a fast-paced, field environmentWork environment includes:Field-based role supporting active construction and roadway projectsCombination of driving and physical work in outdoor environmentsEarly mornings, variable schedules, and project-based hours may be requiredTeam-oriented environment focused on safety and efficiencyViaSun Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer and makes employment decisions without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected classification under applicable law.Applicants with disabilities may be entitled to reasonable accommodation under the Americans with Disabilities Act and applicable state laws.
