The successful candidate will develop expertise in data and data models.As a member of the architecture team, the Data Architect will have oversight and responsibility for the standards, design and documentation of logical and physical analytical data models, for transactional and analytical databases and frameworks. Working within the customer organization, this individual is required to demonstrate technical architectural leadership, playing a vital role in the design of customer facing data systems. Works closely with Product Owner, Portfolio Leaders and developers to create and maintain data dictionary and data alignment. Helps investigate and resolve data anomalies including data quality issues and ambiguous data definitions. Recommends data integrity checks and controls to ensure data quality.Duties and Responsibilities:Own the overall data and data architectureDefine governance and best practices around meta-data to ensure an integrated definition of data for enterprise information, and to ensure the accuracy, validity, reusability, and consistent definitions for common reference data.Participate in technical planning & requirements gathering phases including design, coding, testing, troubleshooting, and documenting big data-oriented software applications.Architect, design, and build Azure and Open source framework for ingestion, transformation, improvement, cleaning, and manipulation of data in the business’s operational and analytics databases, and troubleshoots any existent issues.Define reusable components/frameworks, common schemas, standards & models to be usedKeep up with industry trends and best practices, advising senior management on new and improved data engineering strategies that will drive departmental performance leading to improvement in overall improvement in data governance across the business, promoting informed decision-making, and ultimately improving overall business performance.Design, build and launch extremely efficient & reliable data pipelines to move data (both large and small amounts) into a Data Lake in AzureImplements and optimizes distributed solutions based on modern big data technologies like Hive, Hadoop, Spark, Elastic Search, Storm, Kafka, etc. in both an on premise and cloud deployment model to solve large scale processing problems.Designs and plans BI, and other Visualization Tools capturing and analyzing data from multiple sources to make data-driven decisions, as well as debugs, monitors, and troubleshoots solutions.Assists with data migrations across the enterprise as well as with optimization and scalability efforts.Works closely with key data clients (business data analysts, data scientists etc.) to understand needs and challenges and come up with strategy and solutions.Implement ad-hoc analysis solutions using Azure Data Lake Analytics/Store, HDInsightArchitect and implement ETL and data movement solutions using Azure Data Factory, SSISProvides documentation and support throw-out the continuous internal and external audit activities that BHHC needs to perform to ensures compliance with policies & procedures, safety, state and federal laws, regulations and standards.Aligns data architecture processes and projects to an Agile SDLCAchieve an expert level understanding of our applications and environmentsSupport and review complex design initiatives/projects plans.Help with hiring and onboard new members of different DEV teams.Qualifications:At least 10+ years of experience in designing, architecting and implementing large scale data sets/data storage/data distribution systems using MS SQL Server7+ years of progressive IT and data architecture experience, in a similar role.5+ years of logical data modeling experience in a complex data environment, using appropriate data modeling tools.3-4 years experience in Data Science, Machine Learning and AI (Artificial Intelligence)At least 5+ years of demonstrated experience at least in the most recent 2+ years of designing and delivering solutions using analytics services of Microsoft Azure including Azure Machine Learning Studio, HDInsight, Polybase, Azure Data Lake Analytics, Azure Data Warehouse, Streaming Analytics, Data Catalog, R/R Studio, Power BIAt least 3+ years of experience in migrating large volumes of data using standard Azure automation tools from on premise and cloud infrastructure to AzureExpert with at least one ETL and data modeling toolHands-on experience with Docker/Kubernetes and Microservices and DevOps solutionsKnowledge of Big Data and Data Lake concepts and solutionsDeep familiarity with many of the following: Distributed Systems, Databases, Data Lake, Data Processing, Microservices, API design, Containerization and SecurityExperience with Data modeling in an agile development environmentExperience in data governanceBachelor’s degree (or higher) OR 5+ years professional work experience.Preferred certifications:Microsoft: Designing and Implementing Cloud Data Platform SolutionsMicrosoft Designing and Implementing Big Data Analytics SolutionsMicrosoft: Engineering Data with Microsoft Cloud ServicesMicrosoft: Analyzing and Visualizing Data with Microsoft Power BIMust have:Cloud Data Platform SolutionsMS SQL Server database.NET Core PlatformMicrosoft Power BIAzure Data Lake Analytics, Azure Data WarehouseDocker/Kubernetes and MicroservicesData Catalog, R/R Studio
