Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
The ICU Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive care to adult and geriatric patients within the intensive care unit, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes. This role requires flexibility to float between ICU and other medical-surgical units as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Administer advanced patient care and monitor critically ill patients using specialized equipment and protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and adjust patient treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation within Epic and other unit-specific systems, ensuring compliance with hospital standards.
• Respond swiftly to emergencies, including code situations and rapid deterioration.
• Float to other units such as MS, MS Tele, and PCU as required, maintaining high levels of clinical competence across departments.

Qualifications:

• Possess at least 1 year of ICU nursing experience, with first-time travelers accepted.
• Hold current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certification.
• Hold an active Georgia license or valid Compact license.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Epic EMR, Pyxis, and SBAR communication tools.
• Be willing to work night shifts (3x12 hours) and every other weekend.
