Estimator – Essex Salary: £35,000 - £75,000 + Bonus + Career Progression Construo Recruitment is working in partnership with a long-established specialist contractor to recruit an Estimator for their growing commercial team in Essex. With an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality natural stone and construction projects across London and the UK, our client is looking for an experienced Estimator who is keen to play a key role in the continued growth of the business. This position offers a clear pathway into an Estimating Manager role as the department expands. The Role You will be responsible for preparing detailed and commercially competitive estimates across a diverse portfolio of natural stone and construction projects. Working closely with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams, you will help secure new business opportunities while ensuring tenders are accurate, competitive and aligned with project requirements. Key Responsibilities Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions Assess labour, material and installation requirements Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations Identify commercial risks and opportunities within tender documents Support project handovers to operational and delivery teams Maintain accurate estimating records and cost databases Contribute to the continuous improvement of estimating systems and processes Support the future development and growth of the estimating function About You Proven experience in construction estimating Ability to prepare and submit complete tender packages independently Strong understanding of construction methods, materials and procurement processes Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail Strong organisational and communication skills Proactive and capable of managing multiple tenders simultaneously Full UK Driving Licence Desirable Experience Experience estimating natural stone or specialist façade packages Knowledge of dimensional stone products and installation methods Experience working on commercial, residential or heritage construction projects Ambition to progress into a leadership or management role What's on Offer Salary ranging from £35,000 - £75,000 depending on experience Performance-related bonus scheme Clear progression pathway to Estimating Manager Long-term career opportunity within a well-established business Exposure to a diverse range of prestigious projects across the UK Supportive and collaborative working environment For more information or to apply, please submit your CV to Construo Recruitment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
