Sonographer II - On-Call OnlyZero Hours/Rotating ShiftWe are seeking an experienced Sonographer II to join our healthcare team in Baltimore, United States. In this role, you will perform diagnostic medical sonography procedures while providing exceptional patient care and maintaining high clinical standards.Responsibilities:Perform comprehensive diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to established protocolsAnalyze sonographic images to ensure optimal diagnostic qualityDocument and record examination findings in medical records and PACS systemsMaintain ultrasound equipment and ensure proper functionalityCollaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to provide patient careAssist in training and mentoring junior sonographersFollow all safety protocols and maintain compliance with healthcare regulationsPrepare and position patients for sonographic proceduresExplain procedures to patients and address their concernsParticipate in quality assurance programs and continuing educationQualificationsGraduate of an approved Medical Sonography program.Current ARDMS certification requiredCurrent BLS certification3-5 years of clinical sonography experienceDemonstrated proficiency in various ultrasound procedures and equipmentExperience with PACS systems and medical imaging softwareStrong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminologyExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsPhysical ability to assist patients and maintain prolonged standing positionsDetail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesCommitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA complianceExperience in multiple sonography specialties preferredOn-Call: Must be available to participate in the department on-call requirements.Additional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.Compensation:Pay Range: $35.76-$53.66/hourOther Compensation (if applicable): Review the 2024-2025 UMMS Benefits GuideLike many employers, UMMS is being targeted by cybercriminals impersonating our recruiters and offering fake job opportunities.
