PSC Manager - Olympia, WA

A phlebotomist and operations manager at a patient service center who collects blood specimens, maintains sample integrity, verifies test requisitions, and oversees phlebotomy program operations at the Olympia, WA location. Responsibilities

• Perform venipunctures and finger sticks to collect blood specimens from patients
• Verify test requisitions and patient identification; resolve discrepancies with leadership
• Track, document, and maintain specimen integrity using aseptic technique and established procedures
• Oversee phlebotomy operations and manage equipment; train and supervise phlebotomists as needed
• Monitor quality control, report KPIs, manage vendor relationships, and handle scheduling and escalations

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of phlebotomy experience
• Current phlebotomy license if required by Washington state
• Knowledge of aseptic technique and specimen handling procedures
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• HIPAA/PHI privacy and compliance training completion within 30 days
• Proficiency with laboratory information systems and electronic health records
