Compensation Considerations: Salary Grade: 118 Salary Range: 45.00 - 48.00 DOE Work Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday 3:00 or 4:00 am alternating start time. Work Shift (if applicable): Shift 1 (United States of America) Job Description: Vitalant is hiring experienced Medical Laboratory Scientists to bring skilled technical support to our specialty blood component manufacturing/high complexity testing reference laboratories. Review and report test results, participate in investigative studies, participate in quality control, preventative maintenance, and validations. Receive coaching, encouragement, and support from caring managers who are invested in your career and success. Bachelor’s degree in biology, Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in approved Science (Biology, Chemistry, etc) and currently possess certification from an accredited agency (ASCP) State licensure as required by CA regulations Experience 0-2 years of relevant laboratory experience meeting Medical Laboratory Scientist or 5 years or more experience as Medical Laboratory Technician KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, biological, medical technology or clinical laboratory science required or equivalent education, training. LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS California State licensure required ASCP Certification Preferred EXPERIENCE 1-2 years of relevant laboratory experience meeting Medical Laboratory Scientist/educational requirements OR 5 years or more experience for the Medical Laboratory Technician.
