Community Coach

Overview At Fello, we champion the rights of people with disabilities and invest in what matters most: real opportunities, strong relationships, and inclusive, equitable communities. We partner with people with disabilities to provide support services, develop inclusive housing, and create spaces where people feel genuinely connected—not just accommodated. The Community Coach facilitates community-based activities and supports people in Fello’s Day Services. All activities and supports are individualized and aligned to the Person-Centered Plan. The Community Coach will work with an assigned group of one or more people with a disability to promote independence and personal growth. The Community Coach will provide transportation to and from activities for people served they are assigned to support. The Community Coach must meet the qualifications of a Direct Support Professional and complete all training. Responsibilities The Community Coach facilitates community-based activities and provides supports aligned to the Person-Centered Plan for individuals in Fello’s Day Services. Work with an assigned group of one or more people with a disability to promote independence and personal growth. Provide transportation to and from activities for people served, as assigned. Meet the qualifications of a Direct Support Professional and complete all required training. Qualifications Strong initiative, comfortable working in dynamic community settings, and a passion for helping people with disabilities live full, self-directed lives. Ability to help people build real-world skills, access and engage in their community, connect with peers, and explore interests through activities such as volunteer work, recreation, job exploration, or skill-building classes. Excellent communication, strong organizational skills, and the ability to document supports and progress in digital systems. Flexibility, empathy, and creative problem-solving are key to success in this role. High school diploma or equivalent, valid Maryland Driver’s License with no major violations, and at least one year of experience working with people with disabilities is preferred.
