Electrical Design EngineerWe are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to develop custom OEM products from initial concept through prototype, testing, troubleshooting, and production. This is a hands-on engineering position involving PCB design, high-current and high-power DC circuits, embedded systems, microcontrollers, sensors, communications, and electrical system integration.The engineer will work closely with firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, sales, and customer-facing teams to develop practical and reliable electrical solutions. The role requires someone comfortable working both at a computer and in an engineering lab, building and testing prototypes, troubleshooting hardware, and supporting products through production.Job Roles and ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop PCBs from concept through productionDesign high-current and high-power DC circuits and systemsDevelop complete electrical schematics and PCB layoutsSelect and integrate microcontrollers, processors, sensors, communication devices, and other electronic componentsDevelop bills of materials and manufacturing documentationEvaluate components for performance, reliability, cost, and availabilityBuild, test, and troubleshoot prototypes in an engineering laboratoryDebug circuits, PCBs, and complete electronic systemsWork with embedded software using C and C++Collaborate with firmware and mechanical engineers on integrated productsSupport transition of electrical designs from engineering into manufacturingSupport existing products through design changes and component substitutionsTroubleshoot production and field-related electrical issuesParticipate in technical discussions with sales and customersUnderstand customer requirements and translate them into practical electrical designsIndependently manage electrical engineering projects from concept through productionQualifications and CertificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering fieldMinimum 5 years of professional electrical engineering or electrical design experienceStrong hands-on PCB design and development experienceExperience designing high-current or high-power DC circuitsExperience with microcontrollers and embedded systemsWorking knowledge of C and/or C++Experience taking electrical designs from concept through prototype, testing, and productionExperience creating electrical schematics and PCB layoutsExperience creating BOMs and manufacturing documentationExperience with electrical or PCB CAD softwareStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to independently own electrical engineering projectsAbility to work collaboratively with electrical, firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing teamsPreferred: Altium DesignerPreferred: Custom OEM product developmentPreferred: C# experienceNo specific professional certification is stated as mandatory.Benefits401(k)401(k) matchingHealth insuranceDental insuranceLife insurancePaid time offHybrid work arrangement with regular engineering lab and office presence
