Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients' physical abilities, limitations, and rehabilitation needs to develop individualized treatment plans. Direct and implement physical therapy treatments aimed at preventing disability, relieving pain, restoring function, and improving overall fitness according to established plans of care. Supervise physical therapy assistants, providing guidance to ensure the effective execution of treatment protocols and addressing any concerns that arise during patient care. Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities, including manual therapy, exercise prescription, and modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation. Provide education to patients and their families about exercises, equipment, and the rehabilitation process, ensuring deep understanding and engagement in their care. Maintain accurate and timely records of patient assessments, progress notes, and treatment outcomes in compliance with facility protocols and state regulations. Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing insights from assessments and collaborating on comprehensive care strategies. Monitor and report on patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed based on observed outcomes and feedback. Engage in community outreach programs and workshops aimed at promoting healthy lifestyles and injury prevention. Patient Population / Client Focus The physical therapist role at Calm Body Innovative Fitness & Rehab will cater to a broad range of patients, including those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, managing chronic pain, rehabilitating from neurological disorders, and older adults seeking to maintain functional independence. This diverse patient population provides an enriching experience, allowing you to apply a wide array of therapeutic techniques and approaches tailored to individual needs. Qualifications Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution; Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred. Active physical therapy license in Virginia, ensuring compliance with state regulations and standards. Current CPR certification to ensure the safety and emergency readiness of patient care. Strong interpersonal communication skills to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and colleagues. Demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence and patient-centered care, highlighting a positive attitude and collaborative spirit. Preferred Experience A minimum of one year of experience in a physical therapy role, specifically in outpatient or rehabilitation settings. Experience in using various therapeutic modalities and equipment commonly found in rehabilitation facilities. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and patient management. Compensation and Benefits The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
