Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide nursing care primarily within the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This position requires the ability to float to the Emergency Department, Med/Surg, or Pediatrics as needed due to low census. The Registered Nurse will care for critically ill patients, ensuring adherence to doctors' orders, standards of care, and nursing policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient nursing care in the ICU to individuals of all ages.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, responding to changes and implementing care plans.
• Assist in the recovery of post-operative patients as needed.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Educate patients and families on health management and treatment plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of prior ICU nursing experience.
• Associate Degree in Nursing required.
• Current valid unrestricted RN license to practice in any state.
• Current certifications:
  
  
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association (must be completed within 6 months of hire).
  • Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) (must be completed within 6 months of hire).
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) training (must be completed within 6 months of hire).
